The Living Rosary is an annual activity of CDSA in observance of the month of the Holy Rosary (October). This activity is organized by the CIE/CL Department. Students pray the rosary vis-a-vis various tableau presentations.
A tableau is presented for every Glorious Mystery, and for every prayer a balloon is tied to a big circle which in the end will eventually become a rosary. October 5 marks the "World Teachers' Day" celebration which started since 1994. Its aim is to mobilise support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.
According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day represents a significant token of the awareness, understanding and appreciation displayed for the vital contribution that teachers make to education and development. *
The Department of Education (DepEd) issued Department Memorandum 352, series of 2010, to mark World Teachers' Day. Education Secretary Armin Luistro called on private and public elementary and high schools to give recognition to Filipino teachers who help mold the minds of the future generation. **
Various presentations were prepared by the students, after which the teachers received flowers, chocolates and gifts. As a school treat, students were dismissed early and the teachers enjoyed a hearty lunch.

Mrs. Lennie A. Montevirgen gave an NCAE Orientation to the 4th year students yesterday, in preparation for the upcoming national aptitude test.
The National Career Assessment Examination or NCAE will determine which career path is best after graduation from high school based on the individual test results. It will minimize the mismatch in career choices vis-a-vis skills and inclinations among high school students.*
The NCAE for SY 2010-2011 will be on September 29, Wednesday. CDSA will be a testing center for nearby private schools.
The CDSA Faculty and Staff attended the Holy Mass for the 40th day of the death of +Rev. Fr. Salvador O. Yun at the San Ildefonso (de Toledo) Parish Church in Tanay, Rizal. Rev. Fr. Orlando Cantillon officiates the con-celebrated mass. Another mass was celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Pasig City by The Most Reverend Francisco C. San Diego, D.D. for those who cannot go to Tanay.
The significance of the 40 days after a person's death is that, according to folk beliefs, the soul still "wanders" or stays on earth after his death and that after 40 days he will ultimately go to his final destination.* It's reference is biblical, in the sense that Jesus stayed on earth and appears to his apostles and after forty days he ascended into heaven.**
San Ildefonso Church is a beautiful church, dating back to the 18th century. After the mass, the family of +Fr. Buddy invited the attendees to a lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Eternal Rest grant unto Fr. Buddy, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
